House clearance handled properly, from first room to final sweep

Whether you are clearing a family home, getting ready to move or preparing a property for sale, we will take care of the lifting, sorting and removal. Tell us what needs to stay. We will handle the rest with care.

Help when you need it most

Full or partial clearance
From one room or a few bulky items to an entire house, garage, loft and outbuildings.

Homes with a lot to sort

Common questions

How much does a house clearance cost?

The price depends on how much needs removing, the type and weight of the contents, access to the property, labour needed and disposal costs. Once we have assessed the job, we will give you a clear quote before work starts.

Do I need to be at the property?

Not always. If access can be arranged and your instructions are clear, we can carry out the clearance while you are elsewhere and confirm when the job is complete.

Can you clear only part of the house?

Yes. We can clear a single room, selected furniture, a loft, a garage or specific items throughout the property. The scope is agreed before we begin.

What if I am worried something important may be thrown away?

Tell us what to look out for and mark anything that must stay. If we find personal documents, photographs, cash, jewellery or an item that appears important, we will put it aside and contact you.

Can the value of items reduce the clearance cost?

Sometimes. It depends on the items and whether there is a realistic resale route. Any agreed value offset will be explained clearly when we quote; it will never be assumed.

What happens to reusable items?

Where practical, suitable items are separated for reuse, donation or recycling. Items that cannot be reused or recycled are disposed of through the correct waste route.

Are there items you cannot take?

Yes. Asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles, clinical waste and some building materials need specialist handling. Tell us about anything unusual before the job so we can advise you properly.

How quickly can you clear a property?

That depends on the size of the clearance, access and current availability. If you have a completion date, tenancy deadline or other fixed timescale, tell us when you enquire and we will confirm what is realistic.

Do you remove carpets?

Carpet and underlay removal can be included where agreed in advance. We will confirm whether lifting and disposal are included in your quote.

How do I know my waste will be handled legally?

Use a registered waste carrier and ask for their registration details. Ranskill House Clearance’s registration number should be shown on the website and paperwork once confirmed.

Tell us what needs clearing — we’ll send a free quote, fast.
