Garage clearance
Get your garage back
Old furniture, broken tools, boxes you have not opened in years – garages fill up quickly. We remove the agreed contents from inside the garage, sort them properly and leave you with usable space again.
Clear the Clutter Without Doing the Heavy Work
You do not need to drag everything onto the drive or decide where every item should go before we arrive. Show us what needs removing, point out anything that must stay, and we will do the lifting and loading.
Make room for the car: Clear the boxes, furniture and old equipment that have slowly taken over the space.
Prepare to move: Remove unwanted contents before moving day, completion or handing the keys over.
Start a garage conversion: Empty the garage before building work begins, with any fixtures or building materials agreed separately.
Clear an inherited property: Sort and remove garage contents alongside a bereavement or probate clearance.
Deal with bulky items: Remove furniture, appliances and awkward items that will not fit in the car.
Clear only what you choose: Keep the useful tools and storage. We will take the items you no longer want.

Send a few photographs and tell us what needs to go. We will explain what can be included, flag any specialist items and give you a clear quote.

Receive a clear quote. We confirm what is included and flag any items that need separate or specialist disposal.
Mark anything that stays. Before work starts, show us the tools, boxes, shelving or other items you want to keep.
We clear and sweep through. The team removes and sorts the agreed contents, then gives the cleared floor area a basic sweep-through.
Common Questions
How much does a garage clearance cost?
The price depends on the amount and type of contents, total weight, access, labour and disposal costs. Photographs are often enough for us to assess a straightforward garage clearance and provide a clear quote.
Do I need to sort the garage first?
No. You only need to identify what must stay. We can sort the agreed clearance items as we work.
Do I need to move everything onto the drive?
No. We remove agreed items from inside the garage. Tell us about narrow access, parking restrictions or anything blocking the route when you enquire.
Can you clear only part of the garage?
Yes. We can remove a few bulky items, selected contents or everything in the garage. We agree the scope before work starts.
Can you remove shelving or a workbench?
Freestanding items can usually be removed. Fixed shelving, fitted benches and dismantling work must be agreed before the quote is confirmed.
Can you take paint, oil or chemicals?
These items need separate handling and cannot simply be added to a mixed load. Tell us what you have and send photographs of the labels where possible. We will explain whether we can arrange removal or whether you need a specialist route.
Can you remove tyres, batteries or gas bottles?
These items require specific disposal routes and must be mentioned before the job. We will confirm what can be included and any additional cost.
What if there may be asbestos in the garage?
Do not disturb it. Garage roofs, panels and old building materials may contain asbestos and need proper assessment and handling. Tell us before the clearance so we can advise on the next step.
What happens to scrap metal and usable tools?
Where practical, suitable items are separated for reuse or recycling. If you believe something has resale value, mention it before we quote.
How quickly can you clear a garage?
That depends on the amount of contents, access, specialist items and current availability. Tell us if you have a moving date, building work or another deadline and we will confirm what is realistic.
Do you clean the garage afterwards?
The cleared floor area can be given a basic sweep-through where agreed. Deep cleaning, stain removal and repairs are separate jobs unless specifically included in the quote.
How do I know the waste will be handled legally?
Householders must use an authorised waste carrier. Ranskill House Clearance’s registration details should be shown on the website and paperwork once confirmed.
